Montane has partnered with Woman's Back to help provide a safe and comfortable backpack system that helps survivors of breast cancer to get the most out of the outdoors - and life in general.

Woman's Back is the only backpack specially designed and patented to reduce the risk of developing Lymphedema in women who have gone through breast cancer and encourages them to pursue an active life.

Born from the personal experience of Maria Prandi, who underwent surgery after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. The following summer Maria - a lover of the outdoors - made a pledge to not miss out on the activities she loved so much. For this, she'd need a backpack. At the time, no backpack on the market could be worn without the risk of causing Lymphedema.

So, naturally, the only option was to make one.

The Woman's Back system comprises of a three-step closing system that can be adapted and personalised to each woman and each pack. The system has been developed with help from the Hospital of Sant Pau and tested in numerous outdoor activities.
