Caring for your Montane gloves and mitts

Cleaning your gloves and mitts is a simple yet effective process, but following a few simple rules will ensure their longevity and performance.

We provide care labels on all of our products and recommend you refer to these ahead of your first wash. Improper care can compromise breathability, water repellency, and overall product durability.

How do I wash my Montane gloves and mitts?

Due to the construction and material components used on Montane gloves and mitts, we do not recommend using a washing machine unless the care label explicitly says to. This is because it may change the physical appearance of some of the materials, or cause them to become mis-shapen.

If it is absolutely necessary, hand wash in warm water (30° or less) using a drop of mild detergent and allow to line dry naturally. Do not wring. Do not tumble dry.

For styles using insulation, leather patches and/ or a waterproof insert we recommend that you keep it simple and just wipe the product with a damp sponge or cloth.
