The Torren jacket breaks new ground in waterproof protection by delivering exceptional breathability and packable performance that’s optimised for pushing limits in the mountains. This high-performance jacket features 3-layer, highly breathable (RET 7) PETRICHOR TECHNOLOGY™ which has been developed with no intentional use of PFAS. This waterproof offers excellent wet weather protection (20,000mm Hydrostatic Head), a helmet-compatible hood, harness-compatible pockets, and pit zips to ramp up breathability even further. When you have to push hard for the summit, the Torren has the durability, protection, and performance to back your moves.

PETRICHOR TECHNOLOGY™ 3L. Highly Breathable Waterproof.  

Montane’s PETRICHOR 3-layer technology delivers waterproof (20,000mm Hydrostatic Head), exceptionally breathable performance to the Cetus Lite Jacket. It scores a RET rating of less than 5, which means it is ideally suited for high-output activities in the outdoors, where it will remain breathable to keep you dry inside and out. This is achieved through the windproof, non-porous hydrophilic membrane that transports water vapour and moisture away from the body, an effect that increases in strength as you work harder. The 3-layer construction sandwiches the waterproof membrane between a 100% recycled, 21D Ripstop nylon face fabric and the lining, for improved durability and next-to-skin comfort.

Everything about the Men’s Torren Jacket has been designed for industry-leading moisture management. In addition to the highly breathable PETRICHOR waterproof fabric, large pit-zips have been incorporated to be used on the move and provide adaptable ventilation.     So far, I'm incredibly happy with My Torren jacket, I sized down to a small for a more fitted look as only 5.10 . Jacket already performing well in the wind & rain and on my commute. I have not tested it in the snow yet looking forward to skiing in Feb.
